Our organization is involved in numerous projects.

YES Trust is now among the 17 leaders of the Global Generation Equality Action Coalition on GBV against women and girls , platform for global advocacy on ending violence against women and girls convened by UN Women and co-hosted by Mexico and France through bringing together governments, activist, corporations, feminist organizations, youth and allies to achieve transformation change.

Organization Objectives

  • To enlist the support of edutainment/multimedia advocacy campaign strategy in creating awareness among young men and women, boys and girls on issues affecting them on Health, Education and Social Protection.
  • Provide the space and opportunities for youth and young women including those with disability to engage in dialogue with public
    authorities to promote a culture of accountability, good governance, public integrity, and subsequently accelerate the implementation of social development programmes.
  • Strengthen the role of civil society as non-State actors that catalyse young citizen actions and aspirations to hold governments to account through participating in policy making spaces, advocating with and for young citizens.

Our Key Advocacy Strategy

YES Trust Zimbabwe organization uses edutainment/multimedia advocacy strategy as a tool to connect local development issues with those in global south. Our youth creative and colorful projects inspire personal learning, reflection, action and allow for interaction with the public and various sectors of the community especially focusing on young people.

The organization’s edutainment strategy creates space for exchange of methodologies, sharing of perspectives, valuable debate and discussion on the use of terminology.

Edutainment/Multimedia advocacy strategy has been seen as a unique vehicle for youth mobilization and information dissemination to large audiences.

Our Key Activities

  • Edutainment/multimedia advocacy through community theatre for development, Youth festivals, mobile awareness roadshows, short awareness films, awareness campaigns, sport, audio skits, jingles, storytelling, community radio, radio dramas, Amination , talk shows , debates ,documentaries, slam poetry, music, dance,
    production/designing of information pamphlets, Billboards, Posters etc.
  • Community youth and young women engagement dialogues with public authorities to promote a culture of accountability, good governance, public integrity, and subsequently accelerate the implementation of social development programmes at community , district and national level.
  • Enhancing youth and young women participation in democracy – participation in electoral processes in Zimbabwe though capacity building trainings, Voter Education, mentorship of aspiring young leaders etc.
  • Capacity building and strengthening trainings of civil society as non-State actors that catalyse citizen actions and aspirations to hold governments to account through participating in policy making spaces, advocating with and for young citizens.
  • Capacity building and empowerment of youth and young women on Climate Action.
  • Capacity building programmes for key government institutions for improved service delivery.
